1. Open API keys under Developers in the account menu.
  2. Enter a Name that says where the key is used.
  3. Pick the Scopes. Your plan decides which are on offer: reading starts on the trial and passes, writing on Starter.
  4. Tick Sandbox key for tests. Codes made with a sandbox key never answer scans.
  5. Optionally set Expires on (optional) and Daily limit for this key (optional).
  6. Enter Your password and press Create key.

The key is shown once. Store it in your secrets manager; we keep only a hash. Live keys start with oqr_live_, sandbox keys with oqr_test_.

To stop a key, revoke it on the same page. Revoking takes effect at once.
