Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
Fixed or editable: what’s the difference?
A fixed (static) code stores your link in the pattern itself. It is free, you can make as many as you like without signing up, and downloads carry no watermark, but nothing can change after printing. An editable (dynamic) code points to a short link we host, so you can change the destination after printing, and edits go live on the next scan. Every free account includes one editable code, free.
What exactly counts as a code?

What happens if I stop paying or cancel?
Trial end: codes go inactive, and buying within 90 days turns them back on. Cancel: codes work until your paid period ends. Failed payment: all codes keep working for a 14-day grace period. Downgrade: codes over the new limit get 14 days' notice and you choose which stay. Refund: refunded codes go inactive at once. After a paid plan ends, you can reactivate within 12 months with no fee.
A plan, a pass or Keep-alive: which do I need?
A plan is for codes you keep changing and tracking, from $9/month. A pass is one payment for your event, from $12, and it never renews. Keep-alive is $3/month for up to 15 printed codes you have finished editing, with one destination edit per code per quarter.
Can I use my own custom domain?
Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter takes a subdomain such as go.yourbrand.com; apex domains start on Pro, where your DNS host supports ALIAS, ANAME or CNAME flattening. Codes on your own domain stay under your control, and you can export ready-made redirect rules for them.
Do you charge VAT or extra fees?
No VAT is added at checkout: the price you see is the price you pay, and your invoice shows the same amount. Prices are in US dollars; checkout can show and charge them in your local currency and shows the final amount before you pay.
Any discount for nonprofits or schools?
Not at the moment, and there are no discount codes or coupons for anyone. Fixed codes are free for everyone, a pass covers a single event from $12, and Keep-alive keeps finished codes working for $3/month, which keeps small budgets small.
Can I export my codes and data?
Yes. Export covers codes, destinations, pages, files and ready-made redirect rules for Nginx, Apache, Cloudflare, Netlify and Vercel. It stays available for 12 months after paying stops. With codes on your own domain, those rules keep your printed codes working wherever you move them.
Where do people who scan my codes land?
Straight on your link, on every plan. Free fixed codes open the link inside the pattern. Editable codes go to your destination, or to a page you choose to add, like a password screen.
What does fair use mean for scans?
Paid plans put no cap on scans, and redirects are never stopped for volume. Fair use covers hosted files: each plan includes a monthly amount of file delivery. Above it, we tell you first and offer an add-on or an upgrade, and only after a notice period do we slow down file downloads. Redirects keep working.
Will my price ever go up?
Existing subscribers keep their price for at least 24 months, and for as long as they stay on the same plan and billing period after that.
Do I get a reminder before codes stop?
Yes. Before a code stops for billing or at the end of a term, you get an e-mail and an in-app reminder 7, 3 and 1 day ahead. Your first plan payment is refundable within 14 days, once per customer.
