Connect your AI assistant to oqrely
oqrely runs a remote MCP server. Add its address to an assistant that supports remote MCP servers, sign in to oqrely once, and the assistant can work with the QR codes of the workspace you choose.
Server address
https://oqrely.com/mcp
Remote MCP over streamable HTTP. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE; your assistant registers itself, so there is no key to copy.
Copy this prompt
Paste it into your assistant after you added the server, to check that the connection works.
Use the oqrely MCP server at https://oqrely.com/mcp. List my five newest QR codes with their state and destination, then show the scan counts of the first one for the last 30 days.
Connect your assistant
In Claude, add a custom connector and paste the server address. Claude opens the oqrely sign-in page; sign in and allow access.
Where your ChatGPT plan allows custom connectors, create one with the server address and OAuth sign-in. ChatGPT opens the oqrely sign-in page; sign in and allow access.
Run this command, then type /mcp in Claude Code to sign in:
claude mcp add --transport http oqrely https://oqrely.com/mcp
Add the server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project). Cursor asks you to sign in the first time it connects.

"oqrely": {
"url": "https://oqrely.com/mcp"
}
}
}
Add the server to .vscode/mcp.json, then start it from the file. VS Code opens the sign-in page.

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over streamable HTTP with OAuth sign-in connects the same way: add the address and sign in when asked.
What happens when you sign in
- Your assistant opens an oqrely page in your browser. Sign in, or create an account.
- Choose the workspace the assistant may use and check what it asks for.
- Write access is off unless you switch it on. Allow, and you return to your assistant.
- Ask in plain words, for example "make a QR code for our Wi-Fi" or "how often was the menu code scanned this week?".
What each access level allows
render: Fixed QR code images as SVG, PNG or PDF.read: List and search your codes, read one code, its scan counts and your domains.write: Create editable codes, change destinations, turn codes off and on.
Read and write access to your codes comes with Starter and higher plans. The assistant shares the daily API quota of your plan.
Safety rules
- A new connection can only read. It can change codes only if you switch write access on when you connect.
- Turning a code off asks you to confirm first. So does changing the destination of a code with a lot of scans, which also asks you to confirm it is you in oqrely.
- Every change an assistant makes appears in the Activity log of the workspace, marked as made via MCP with the name of the assistant.
- Disconnect an assistant at any time under Connected assistants; it stops at once. Connected assistants
