By default scans show an approximate place from the network. With consent, a code can ask for the scanner's precise location, which is rounded and kept briefly.

  1. Open Your codes and open the editable code.
  2. Open the Link settings tab and find Precise location (GPS).
  3. Turn on Ask scanners for their precise location.
  4. Save the code. Scanners are asked to share, and may say no.

Act on location with a geofence

On the Rules tab, add a rule with the Geofence condition. Set the Latitude, Longitude and Radius, so the rule matches when a scan is within that distance. Without a shared location, the match falls back to the city you set.

Good to know

Precise location is shared only when the scanner agrees. It is rounded and not kept for long.
