Embed a QR code generator

Put a small, working QR code generator on your own page. People type a link, get a code and download it, without leaving your site.

You can add an oqrely QR code generator to any website by pasting one snippet. Use the script tag and it drops the generator in where you put it; use the iframe if your site does not allow scripts. Visitors type a link or some text, a QR code appears, and they download it as a PNG or SVG. You choose light, dark or automatic, an accent colour and the language, English, German or Spanish. The widget sets no cookies, tracks nobody and loads nothing from other services. Each one carries a small Made with oqrely link back to this page.

This is the widget exactly as your visitors will see it.

Copy your snippet

One line. It inserts the generator where you paste it and keeps the height right.

Use this where scripts are not allowed. Set the height that suits your layout.

How to add it

  1. Copy the snippet

Pick the script tag or the iframe below and copy it. The script version is one line and resizes itself; the iframe is handy where scripts are blocked.

  2. Paste it on your page

Drop the snippet into your HTML wherever you want the generator to show, in a sidebar, a help page or a footer. It fits the width it is given.

  3. Set the look

Add light, dark or automatic, an accent colour and the language right in the snippet. Change them any time by editing the snippet.

  4. That is it

People on your site now make their own codes. The widget talks to nothing else, so there is nothing to maintain and nothing to switch on.

Questions and answers

Is the embeddable generator free?

Yes. Paste the snippet and it works, with no account and no key. The codes it makes are fixed codes, free to download and free of any watermark.

Does it work without JavaScript?

The iframe version shows the generator even where scripts are off. The script version needs JavaScript on the host page to insert and resize the frame.

Can I change the colour and language?

Yes. The snippet takes a theme of light, dark or automatic, an accent colour as a hex value, and a language of English, German or Spanish.

Will it slow my site down?

No. The widget loads one small script and one small stylesheet from oqrely and nothing from anywhere else, and it draws codes on the visitor's device.

Do I have to keep the Made with oqrely link?

Yes. The link is how a free widget pays for itself. It is a plain link to this page and sits quietly under the generator.

oqrely is not affiliated with any service listed here.

Want codes you can change after printing?

The embedded widget makes fixed codes. Open the full generator to make editable codes whose destination you can change later.
