Every design is checked as you build it, so you catch a code that will not scan before it is printed.

  1. Open the design studio from a code's Design tab, or open Design studio.
  2. Watch the check beside the preview as you change colours, dots and the logo.
  3. If it shows This code may not scan, read the suggested fix and apply it, or press Keep my design if you are sure.
  4. Set the Printed width so you can see the real size, and keep the space around the code clear.

Common fixes

  • Low contrast: use a darker dot colour or a lighter background.
  • A code that is hard to read: choose square dots and eyes, a smaller logo, or a higher error correction level.
  • Always test the final print with a few phones before a large run. See Print a QR code that scans.
