Wedding photo sharing with one QR code
Guests take the best candid shots. One code on the tables collects them in a shared album you already know how to use.
For wedding photo sharing, make a shared album in Google Photos or iCloud that guests can add to, then print a QR code that opens it for the tables. Guests scan, the album opens and they add photos from their phone. A fixed code with the album link is free; an editable one lets you switch albums later.
Every guest becomes your photographer
A card by the centrepiece. Guests scan, the shared album opens and their best shots go straight in.

How to set up a photo-sharing code
Create a shared album
In Google Photos or Apple Photos, create an album, turn on sharing and allow others to add photos. Copy the share link.
Check it as a guest would
Open the link on a phone signed in to a different account and make sure you can see the album and add a photo.
Make the code
Paste the share link into the generator. A frame line such as "Add your photos" tells guests what the code is for.
Print it for tables and the welcome sign
Table cards near the centrepiece and a larger code at the entrance work best. Scan the printed proof before the full run.
Worked example: a barn wedding with 90 guests
- Before the day
- The couple creates a shared Google Photos album, prints the code on every table card and adds it to the welcome board.
- On the day
- Guests scan during dinner and the speeches. The album fills with moments the photographer never saw, from the getting-ready rooms to the dance floor.
- Afterwards
- The couple downloads the album for safekeeping. With an editable code on a pass, they point the same code at a highlights album for the thank-you cards.
Fixed or editable for a photo album code?
-
Fixed QR code (static)
A fixed code with the album link is free, needs no account with us and keeps working for as long as the album link does. If you delete or replace the album, the printed code has nowhere to go.
-
Editable QR code (dynamic)
An editable code on a pass lets you change the album after printing: to a curated album, a slideshow or a thank-you page. The Event pass is paid once and never renews: $12 for 3 months.
What guests need to know
Adding photos needs an account
A Google Photos album needs a Google account to add to, and an iCloud shared album needs an Apple account. Pick the one most of your guests have and name it on the card.
Shared albums may shrink photos
Some shared albums store smaller copies. If quality matters, ask close friends to send their best shots as original files afterwards.
The link is the key
Anyone with the link can see the album, so keep the code on the tables rather than on public posters, and turn off adding when you have what you need.
Questions and answers
Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
Do guests need an app to add photos?
Usually not: the album opens in the phone's browser or in the photo app it belongs to. Adding photos needs an account with that service, a Google account for Google Photos or an Apple account for iCloud.
Which is better, Google Photos or iCloud?
Google Photos suits a mixed crowd of iPhone and Android guests. An iCloud shared album suits a crowd that is almost all on iPhone. Either way, test the link from a guest's phone before printing.
Is a free fixed code enough for the photos?
For most weddings, yes. The album link does not change on its own, so a fixed code keeps working as long as the album exists. Choose editable only if you may want to switch albums later.
How long does an editable album code work?
Until the pass ends. The Event pass, $12 for 3 months, covers the day and the weeks of photo sorting after it, and it never renews by itself.
Can guests RSVP with a code too?
Yes, with a separate editable code that opens an event page with an RSVP form. Most couples put the RSVP code on the invitation and the photo code on the tables.
