QR codes on business cards that people save
One scan and your name, number and email land in their contacts, spelled right.
The best QR code on a business card holds your contact details as a vCard, so one scan adds your name, phone, email and website to the reader's contacts. Print it at least 2 cm wide on the back or beside your name, with a light background, and test the proof before ordering a full box.
Saved, not lost in a drawer
The card goes home in a pocket, but your details are already in their phone with the right spelling.

Questions and answers
Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
What should a business card QR code link to?
Most people want your contact saved, so a vCard is the natural choice. Designers and freelancers often link a portfolio instead.
How big should a QR code be on a business card?
At least 2 cm, about 0.8 in, wide. Go a little larger when the code holds a full contact card with many details.
Front or back of the card?
Either works. The back gives the code room to breathe; the front makes it part of the design.
Can I update my details after printing?
Not on a fixed contact code, which holds the details itself. Choose an editable code or a digital business card if you expect changes.
Do I need an app to scan it?
No. Phone cameras read QR codes directly and offer to save the contact.
Can I add my photo?
A digital business card shows your photo, links and a save button. A plain contact code holds text only.
