Calendar event QR code
Enter the name, date, time and place. A scan adds the event to the phone's calendar, reminder included.
A calendar event QR code holds an event's name, date, start and end time, time zone and place. A scan on iPhone or Android offers to add it to the calendar, so your printed date becomes a reminder on the guest's phone. Fill in the fields below and download the code. It works offline and costs nothing.
The date lands in their calendar
Print the code on the invitation or the poster. One scan and the event sits in the guest's calendar with a reminder.

How to make an add-to-calendar QR code
Name the event clearly
Use the name people will search for in their calendar later, such as "Open studio evening, Rivera Studio".
Set date, times and time zone
Leave the times empty for an all-day event. For timed events, pick the UTC offset of the place where the event happens, so travellers see the right local time.
Add the location
A venue name and street go into the calendar entry, where phones can turn them into a map link.
Add it to your own calendar
Scan the preview and save the event. Check the time in the calendar view, especially across daylight saving changes.
Fixed or editable for an event?
-
Fixed QR code (static)
We recommend fixed for calendar entries. The event data is in the code, so it works offline at the door and costs nothing.
-
Editable QR code (dynamic)
Choose editable when details may still change: a new venue, a moved date, or a schedule that is still open when the invitations go to print. The code then opens a page you can update. A pass from $12 covers an event with one payment.
Events worth a calendar code
Invitations and save the dates
Weddings, birthdays and company parties: guests save the date while the card is still in their hand.
Posters for talks and concerts
Passers-by who are interested but busy add it now and decide later.
Appointment cards
Dentists, salons and workshops print the next appointment as a code, so it lands in the calendar instead of the drawer.
Course and club schedules
One code per session on the noticeboard, so members add the dates they plan to attend.
Print tips for event codes
Print the date in words as well
The code is a shortcut, not the sole source. Show the date, time and place in text next to it.
Keep the title short
A long name and a long location make the code denser. Put extra details on the card, not in the code.
Invitations: 2 to 3 cm
Read at hand distance, a code of 2 to 3 cm works. The print check gives the minimum for your exact entry.
Questions and answers
Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
Do phones add QR code events to the calendar automatically?
They ask first. Most current phone cameras recognise the event and offer to add it. If a scanner app shows the text instead, the details are still readable.
How do time zones work?
Pick the UTC offset that applies at the venue on the event date. The calendar converts it, so someone abroad sees the event in their own local time.
Can I make an all-day event?
Yes. Enter the date and leave the start and end times empty.
Can guests RSVP through the code?
A fixed calendar code only saves the date. For replies, an editable code can open a hosted page with a reply form; for a one-time event, a pass covers it without a subscription.
What if the event is moved?
A fixed code keeps the original date, so people who scan it after the change get the old entry. Use an editable code if the date or place is not settled yet.
