Book appointments with a QR code clients use
Clients book their next visit while they still feel the last one, and your diary fills without a phone call.
To book appointments with a QR code, paste the link of your online booking page, such as Calendly or your salon software, and print the code on appointment cards, the counter and the window. Clients scan, pick a free slot and confirm. Your diary fills even while the phone stays quiet.
Booked before leaving
A client scans the counter stand and picks the same time in four weeks.
How to fill the diary by scan
Copy your booking link
Your booking tool has a public link that shows free times. Pick the provider above and paste it.
Print it on the card
Appointment cards with the code under "Book your next visit" travel home with the client.
Add it to the window
A window sticker books clients who walk past after closing time.
Worked example: a barber shop
- The counter
- A small stand by the till reads "Same time in four weeks? Book here".
- The window
- A sticker on the door shows the same code with "Book online, any time".
- The diary
- Regulars book their next cut while paying, and evening bookings come from the door sticker.
Fixed or editable for booking?
-
Fixed QR code (static)
A fixed code holds the booking link. It is free and right while you stay with one booking tool.
-
Editable QR code (dynamic)
Choose editable to switch booking tools without reprinting cards, or to count bookings from the window versus the counter. From $9 a month after the 14-day trial.
Ways to get more bookings
Ask at the till
"Shall we book you in?" with the stand in view is the best moment.
Book after hours
A door sticker turns people walking past at night into morning bookings.
Link one service
A link to a single service, like a trim, books faster than the full menu.
Questions and answers
Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
Which booking tools work with a QR code?
Any tool with a public booking link: Calendly, Cal.com, SimplyBook, Google Calendar booking pages and most salon and practice software.
Can the code open one service directly?
Yes, if your booking tool has a link per service. Use that link for a card about one treatment.
Where should a booking code go?
On appointment cards, the counter, the door or window and the mirror at each station.
Can clients book after closing?
Yes. The booking page works any time, so a window sticker brings in bookings even at night.
What if I change booking software later?
With an editable code, point it at the new booking page and keep every printed card and sticker.
How big should the code be on an appointment card?
About 2 cm on a standard card is enough at reading distance. Keep it away from the card edge.
Do clients need an account to book?
That depends on your booking tool. Most ask for a name, e-mail and phone number at the end, so clients can book in a minute without creating an account.
Can I take a deposit through the booking page?
Many booking tools can ask for a deposit or card details when the client books. Set it up in the booking tool, and the code simply opens that page.
