Get more Instagram followers from your shop
The people in your shop already like you. One scan opens your profile, one tap follows it.
To turn customers into Instagram followers, print a QR code that opens your profile where people linger: the mirror, the counter, the table or the bag. They scan, the Instagram app opens on your profile and Follow is one tap away. Enter your username above, add a reason to follow and print the card.
From the chair to Follow
A card at the mirror. Clients scan and your profile opens with the Follow button ready.
How to set up a follow code
Enter your username
Type your Instagram handle without the @. The code opens your profile in the app, or in the browser if the app is missing.
Give a reason to follow
"New styles every Friday" or "Follow for the daily special" tells people what they get from following.
Print it where people linger
At the mirror while the colour sets, on the table while the food comes, on the bag that goes home.
Worked example: a hair salon
- Where the codes sit
- A small card at each mirror and a sticker on the front desk, both saying "See this week's cuts and colours".
- The moment
- Clients scan while the colour develops, scroll the latest work and follow before they leave the chair.
- What it brings
- New posts reach people who already sat in the chair, so the next booking often comes straight from a story.
Fixed or editable for Instagram?
-
Fixed QR code (static)
A fixed code that opens your profile is free and works as long as your username stays the same. That fits most shops.
-
Editable QR code (dynamic)
An editable code lets you point the same card at a new handle, a campaign or a booking page later, and counts scans per card, so you see which spot works.
Codes that get follows
Show a taste
Put one photo of your best work next to the code. People scan for more of what they see.
Post what you promised
If the card says "new styles every Friday", post on Friday. New followers stay when the promise holds.
Thank them in person
A quick "follow us for the specials" at the till doubles the scans of a card nobody mentions.
Questions and answers
Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
Does the code open the Instagram app?
On a phone with Instagram installed, yes: the profile opens in the app with the Follow button. Without the app, it opens in the browser.
What if I change my Instagram username?
A fixed code keeps the old username and stops finding your profile. An editable code can be pointed at the new handle without reprinting.
Can one code show all my social profiles?
Link the code to a page that lists them, such as a link list, if you want people to choose. For one network, a direct profile link gets more follows.
Where should a follow code go in a restaurant?
On the table or the menu, where guests wait for food with their phones out. A code on the door gets far fewer scans.
Is the Instagram code free?
Yes. A fixed code to your profile is free, with no account and no watermark, and works for as long as the profile exists.
