How the routing works

- Goes to the App Clip link, which opens the clip card at the bottom of the screen in a second or two.
- Android
- Goes to the Instant App link, which runs the instant part of your app straight from Google Play.
- Everyone else
- Computers, tablets and older phones go to the web address, so nobody lands on a dead end.
- Counted scans
- Every scan is counted by device, so you see how many people tried the clip on each platform.

Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
What is an App Clip?
A small part of an iPhone app that opens in seconds without installing the whole app.
What is an Instant App?
The Android version of the same idea: part of an app that runs without an install.
Is this the same as an Apple App Clip Code?
No. Apple App Clip Codes are a separate round design. This is a QR code, which every phone camera reads and which also works on Android.
Which link do I need from Apple?
The default App Clip link from App Store Connect, such as https://appclip.apple.com/id?p=com.example.app.Clip, or your advanced App Clip experience URL.
What happens on a computer?
The scanner goes to the web address you set.
Can I change the links later?
Yes. The code is editable, so update the links in the app and the sticker stays the same.
