App download QR code for iPhone and Android
One code on the box or poster that opens the right store on each phone.
An app download QR code opens the right store from one printed code: the App Store on an iPhone, Google Play on Android and your website on anything else. Enter the store links once in the app. For one store only, the generator above makes a free fixed code.
Same box, two phones
One code on the box opens the App Store on an iPhone and Google Play on an Android phone.

Your App Store page and your Google Play page, plus a web page for everyone else.
Create the code in the app
Pick App download and paste the three links.
Scan on both phones
Check that an iPhone lands on the App Store and an Android phone on Google Play.

Fixed or editable for app downloads?
-
Fixed QR code (static)
A fixed code opens one address. Point it at a page on your own site with both store buttons, or print one fixed code per store.
-
Editable QR code (dynamic)
The store choice happens on the short link of an editable code, and you see installs started per store. Try it 14 days free, then plans from $9 a month.
Where app codes bring installs
Product boxes
Setup apps for devices, opened from the box.
Receipts and tills
Loyalty apps while the phone is already out.
Posters
Transit and event posters that reach both kinds of phone.
Manuals

Print tips for app codes
One code is enough
With a smart app code you need no second code for the other store.

Keep it at least 2 cm wide on packaging and 4 cm on posters.

Questions and answers
Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
Can one QR code open both app stores?
Yes. The app download code looks at the phone and opens the App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android.
What do computers see?
Your fallback page, usually a page on your site with both store buttons.
Can I count installs per store?
The app shows scans per destination, so you see how many iPhone and Android users started an install.
What if my app moves to a new listing?
Edit the link in the app. Every printed code opens the new listing from the next scan.
Do I need an editable code?
Yes, for the store choice. A fixed code to one store page is free in the generator above.
Does it work with other app stores?
Add any store link as the fallback, for example a page that lists every store you publish to.
