Certificate verification QR code
Anyone holding the paper can check it against your record in one scan.
A certificate verification QR code opens your record of that certificate: holder, title, issuer, dates and its status, verified, expired or withdrawn. For many certificates, add one line each and print with bulk, so each code names its certificate ID. A file fingerprint lets a reader confirm a PDF copy was not changed.
Hiring? Check the certificate
An employer scans the code on a first aid certificate and sees it is valid.

How to add verification to certificates
Start from the Certificate template
It shows the record, the status and how the check works.
Add your certificates
One line each: ID, holder, title, issue date, valid until.
Print the code on each certificate
Bulk makes one code per certificate ID.
Withdraw when needed
Add an ID to the withdrawn list and its scan says so at once.
Why verification needs an editable code
-
Fixed QR code (static)
A fixed code can print the details, but it cannot show that a certificate was withdrawn later.
-
Editable QR code (dynamic)
The record lives with us, so expiry and withdrawal show the moment they happen. Try it 14 days free, then plans from $9 a month.

What a scan shows
- Status
- Verified, expired, withdrawn or not found, in large type.
- The record
- Holder, title, issuer, dates and ID.
- Fingerprint
- The SHA-256 of the issued file, to compare with a PDF copy.
- Many certificates, one page
- Each code names its certificate ID, so one page answers for every certificate you issue.
- Plain status
- The status sits at the top in large type, so a reader sees Verified, Expired or Withdrawn before anything else on the page.
Questions and answers
Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
How does certificate verification by QR code work?
The code opens your record of that certificate and shows whether it is valid, expired or withdrawn.
Can someone fake the page?
The page is served from your code's link. A forged paper with a different link will not open your record.
Can I verify many certificates?
Yes. Add one line per certificate and print with bulk; each code names its ID.
What happens if I withdraw a certificate?
Its scan shows Withdrawn from that moment on.
What is the document fingerprint?
A SHA-256 checksum of the issued file. If a PDF copy has the same checksum, it was not changed.
Do people need an app to check a certificate?
No. The phone camera opens the record in the browser.
Can I show a certificate that expired?
Yes. Its scan says Expired and still shows the record, so the history stays clear.
Make every certificate easy to check
Add your records in the app and print the code on each certificate.
