A church donation QR code for the offering
Members and visitors give by phone during the service, and the giving page records every gift.
A church donation QR code opens your online giving page during the offering. Paste the link from your giving provider, print the code on pew cards, the weekly bulletin and the screen slide, and members give by card or phone wallet in a minute. The plate still goes round for cash.
Give during the offering
A visitor scans the pew card, picks the food bank fund and gives by phone in a minute.
How to add giving by scan
Use your giving page
Your church giving provider or payment service gives you a link where people choose an amount and fund.
Make the code
Paste the link above and add a frame line such as "Give by phone".
Print three times
Pew cards, the bulletin and a slide shown during the offering.
Worked example: a parish with two Sunday services
- The cards
- A small card in each pew holder carries the code and "Give by phone, any time this week".
- The moment
- During the offering, the same code shows on the screen for a minute while the plate goes round.
- The year
- Regular givers set up a monthly gift from the same page, and the treasurer sees each one recorded.
Fixed or editable for church giving?
-
Fixed QR code (static)
A fixed code holds the giving page link. It is free and right when your church stays with one provider.
-
Editable QR code (dynamic)
Choose editable to point the same pew cards at a building fund or a special appeal for a season, or to switch provider later. From $9 a month after the 14-day trial.
Giving that feels natural
Show it at the offering
A slide during the offering connects the code with the moment of giving.
Name the fund
"Roof appeal" or "Food bank" on the card helps people choose.
Say thank you
A thank-you e-mail from the giving page keeps the gift personal.
Questions and answers
Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
Which giving page should the code open?
The online giving page of your church provider or payment service, where people choose an amount, a fund and pay by card or phone.
Can visitors give without creating an account?
Most giving pages accept one-off gifts as a guest. Check the page in a private browser window before you print.
Can the code switch to a special appeal?
Yes, with an editable code. Point it at the appeal page for the season, then back to general giving afterwards.
Where should giving codes go in church?
Pew cards, the weekly bulletin, the offering slide and the noticeboard by the door.
How big should the code be on a pew card?
About 3 cm on a small card read in the hand. For a screen slide, make it at least a fifth of the slide height.
Do older members find scanning hard?
Most phone cameras read codes without an app. Keep the plate and envelopes too, so every member gives the way they like.
Can members set up a regular gift from the code?
Most giving pages offer a weekly or monthly gift. Members choose it once after the scan, and the giving provider handles every later gift and the yearly statement.
Can the code show in the online service stream?
Yes. Show the code on the stream during the offering, so people watching from home can give with their phone in the same moment.
Every member can give
Paste your giving page link and print the pew cards before Sunday.
