Product QR code for packaging, manuals and warranty
One code on the box opens specs, the manual, reorders and warranty registration.
A product QR code opens a page about the item in the customer's hands: photo, specifications, the manual as a PDF, a reorder link and a warranty registration form. Paste your product page above for a free fixed code, or choose editable to build the page in the app and update it after the packaging is printed.
Scan the box, find the manual
A customer scans the code on the packaging and the product page opens with the manual and warranty form.
Templates for this code
-
Box label
Navy with a product info caption for boxes.
-
Manual badge
A boxed code that points to the manual.
-

Pine green squares for warranty cards.
How to make a product QR code
Gather what buyers ask for
Specs, care, the manual, spare parts and how to reorder.
Build the page
Start from the Product template in the app: photo, specs, manual, reorder link and warranty form.
Print one code per product line
Different codes per model show which product gets the most scans.
Update after printing
New manual version or new shop link: change the page, keep the packaging.
Fixed or editable for a product?
-
Fixed QR code (static)
A fixed code is free and opens one address for good. It suits a product page that already lives on your own website.
-
Editable QR code (dynamic)
Choose editable and build the page with us in the app: change text, photos and links after printing, and see scans per day. Try it 14 days free, then plans from $9 a month.
Where product codes help
Packaging
The box carries the manual so the paper booklet can be short.
Warranty cards
Registration in one scan instead of a postcard.
Spare parts and refills
The reorder link brings buyers back to your shop.
Trade fairs
Specs and price lists for each sample on the stand.
Print tips for packaging
Use vector files
Send SVG or EPS to your packaging printer so the code stays sharp.
Mind curves
On bottles and tubes, keep the code under a quarter of the curve's width.
Quiet zone
Leave white space around the code at least four modules wide.
What goes into the page
- What the page holds
- Photo, specifications, the manual as a PDF, a reorder link and a warranty form.
- Warranty entries
- Name, e-mail, serial number and purchase date arrive in the app.
- One page per model
- Duplicate the page for each model and print its own code on each box.
Questions and answers
Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
What should a product page include?
Usually a photo, specifications, the manual, care tips, a reorder link and a warranty form. The Product template starts with all of them.
Can I change the page after printing?
With an editable code, yes. Update the manual or the shop link and every box follows.
Can customers register a warranty?
Yes. The template has a form for name, e-mail, serial number and purchase date, and you see the entries in the app.
Should I use GS1 Digital Link?
If your retailers ask for GTIN data in the code, use the GS1 Digital Link type. For a plain product page, this type is simpler.
Can I offer the page in two languages?
Yes. A hosted page can have a second language version that visitors switch to.
Is it free?
A fixed code to your own product page is free in SVG, PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF and EPS. Hosted product pages need an editable code.
