Get more Amazon reviews from a product insert
Buyers who just opened your product reach your review page in one scan, while the first impression is fresh.
To get more Amazon reviews, add an insert card with a QR code that opens the review page for your product. Build the link from your product's ASIN, paste it above and print a neutral line such as "Tell us how you like it". Ask every buyer the same way, with no reward attached.
Fresh opinion, one scan
A buyer unboxes the tool, scans the insert and the review form opens for that product.
How to set up a review insert
Build the review link
Add your ASIN to amazon.com/review/create-review?asin= followed by the code from your product page.
Make the code
Paste the link above and print it on a small card that goes in every box.
Keep the wording neutral
"Tell us how you like it" asks for an opinion, never for a good one.
Test from a buyer account
Scan with a phone signed in to another account to see the page a buyer sees.
Worked example: a kitchen tool maker
- The insert
- A postcard in each box carries setup tips on the front and the review code on the back.
- The flow
- Buyers who try the tool scan from the counter and leave a review on the spot.
- The extra
- A second code on the same card opens a care video, which earns goodwill and fewer returns.
Fixed or editable for a review insert?
-
Fixed QR code (static)
A fixed code holds the review link for one product. It is free and right when each product has its own card.
-
Editable QR code (dynamic)
Choose editable when one insert travels with several products or marketplaces, or to switch the card to a help page later. From $9 a month after the 14-day trial.
Inserts that follow the rules
Ask everyone the same
One card in every box, with the same words, is fair and simple.
Lead with help
A care tip or a setup video first makes the review ask feel like part of good service.
Keep rewards apart
Discounts and gifts never sit on the same card as the review ask.
Questions and answers
Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
Are review insert cards allowed on Amazon?
Amazon allows neutral review requests. Asking only for positive reviews, offering a reward or steering unhappy buyers elsewhere breaks its rules. Read the current seller policy before printing.
How do I find the review link for my product?
Copy the ASIN from your product page details, then add it to amazon.com/review/create-review?asin= and open the link to check it works.
Can one code serve several products?
An editable code can point at a short page listing your products, each with its own review link. Separate codes per product are more direct.
Do buyers need to be signed in?
Yes. Amazon asks buyers to sign in before writing a review, which most are already in the app.
What else should the insert card say?
A thank-you, a care or setup tip and how to reach you with a problem. Helpful cards earn thoughtful reviews.
Does the review link work in other Amazon stores?
Each store has its own domain, such as amazon.de or amazon.co.uk. Build the link with the store your buyers order from.
A review ask in every box
