QR code business card templates
Two card styles in nine colours each, with a small frame and a line like Scan to save my contact.
A business card template places the code in a frame sized for the back of a standard card, with a short call to action that tells people what the scan does. Classic cards use a solid banner under square modules; soft cards use a thin rounded outline and rounded modules for creative work. Fill in your contact in the generator above to make the code itself, or open a template in the design studio to put the whole layout together.

How to use a card template
-
Decide what the code carries
Your contact details for a card people save, or a link to a portfolio if the front already shows your number and e-mail.
-
Pick a style that matches the front
A classic banner suits a formal card with a logo; a soft outline fits a lighter, hand-drawn look.
-
Keep the call to action under five words
Scan to save my contact or Scan for my details, so people know they will not land on an advert.
-
Send the vector file to the printer
Download SVG or PDF so the frame and the code stay sharp at card size.
Card print specs
- Card sizes
- US cards are 3.5 by 2 inches and EU cards 85 by 55 mm. The card page of the generator downloads both layouts with bleed and crop marks.
- Code width
- Plan on about 3 cm, or 1.2 inches, for a short-link code with its white margin. A contact with many fields needs more; the print check gives the exact minimum.
- Finish
- Matte stock reads better under bright lights than gloss. Keep foil and spot varnish off the code.
Questions
Before you print
- Is it free?
- Fixed codes are free: make as many as you like, download a PNG with no sign-up, and get every other format and print files with a free account. Editable codes come with a plan, a pass, Keep-alive or the 14-day trial.
- Can I change the link after printing?
- Yes, with an editable code. It holds a short link you control, so you can point the printed code somewhere new any time, and the next scan opens the new page. A fixed code keeps the link it was made with.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. A custom domain is included on passes, from Starter, and during the trial. Starter covers one subdomain, for example go.yourbrand.com, and apex domains start on Pro.
- What happens if I stop paying?
- Editable codes work to the end of your paid period, and after a failed payment every code keeps working for 14 days. Turn codes back on within 12 months. Fixed codes keep working as long as their links do.
Which card template scans best?
Both styles read equally well in our decoder tests. The ink colour set with black on white gives the widest margin on older phones.
Can I use a template on the front of the card?
You can, but the back is usually better: the code can be larger there, and the front stays clean for your name and logo.
Does the template include my contact?
The template is the design. Your contact goes into the code itself: fill in the generator above or open the template in the design studio.
What if my details change after printing?
A fixed code keeps the details it was made with. An editable code can open a hosted contact card you update yourself, on a plan, a pass or the 14-day trial.
Is there a high-contrast version?
Yes. Each style has a high-contrast colour set with a bold call to action, for small print and low light.
